Speech delivered in the Strasbourg Parliament
During the course of his official visit to the European Institutions, the President of the Republic delivered a speech, today, during the plenary session of the European Parliament which received him in a Ceremonial Session.
Received by the Speaker of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pottering, President Cavaco Silva held a meeting with his host and gave a press conference in the headquarters of that Institution.
After a luncheon hosted by Speaker Pottering, the President of the Republic held a meeting with the Portuguese members of the staff of the European Parliament.
