National Team in Belém
The President received, in audience, the National Soccer Football Team before their departure to compete in the Final Stage of the World Championship, Brazil 2014, and later hosted the retinue at luncheon.
During the reception in the Palace of Belém, the President of the Portuguese Soccer Football Federation presented President Cavaco Silva with a Team Jersey, as well as with a tie equal to that worn by the players. The Head of State presented the Team with a National Standard, which will be carried by them to Brazil.
