Members of Portuguese Community being awarded decorations
The President of the Republic attended, in San José, California, at a dinner held in honour of the Portuguese Community, during which he decorated four individualities.
The following were awarded decorations: Jack Cunha, posthumously, with the rank of Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, Manuel Bettencourt, as Commander of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, Manuela Ávila Silveira, as Commander of the Order of Merit, and Manuel Eduardo Vieira, as Commander of the Order of Merit.
At the beginning of the ceremony, an address was delivered by President Aníbal Cavaco Silva.
