Decorations in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic decorated, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém, four individualities which had held relevant public office.
Awards were presented to Dr. Pedro Miguel de Santana Lopes, former Prime Minister, decorated with the Grand Cross of the Order of Christ, to Councillor Manuel Fernando dos Santos Serra, former President of the Supreme Administrative Court, to Alberto Romão Madruga da Costa and to Dr. Fernando Manuel Machado Menezes, former Speakers of the Azores Parliament, the latter three decorated with the Grand Cross of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator.
