Meeting upon arrival in Vienna
On the eve of starting an Official Visit to Austria at the invitation of his counterpart Heinz Fischer, the President of the Republic met with a group of the Community of Austrian citizens who were given shelter by Portuguese families after the Second World War.
Present at the meeting were members of the Austrian-Portuguese Society, a recent association which develops bonds between citizens and institutions of both countries, to all of whom President Aníbal Cavaco Silva addressed a short speech.
