On the first day of the 2nd Campaign of the Route to Youth, dedicated to the theme “Autonomy, Juvenile Associability: Art and Culture”, the President of the Republic travelled to Tramagal, where he visited the headquarters of the CISTUS Youth Association.
After a presentation of the Project of that Association, President Cavaco Silva visited, in the area of the local market, the exhibition of artist Gilberto Gonçalves, as well as a show of handicraft, artistic creations, fashion and new technologies. The President also attended brief concert played by members of the Hyubris group.
Later, the President visited the auditorium of the Tramagal Parish Council, where he attended the Municipal Meeting of the Youth Associations of the county of Abrantes, where the issue of youth associability was under discussion, as well as the European youth programme. On the occasion the President saw fit to address the assembled people.
