Opening ceremony of the Conference
The VII Conference of Heads of State and of Government of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which is being held in Lisbon, was officially opened by the President of the Republic, who delivered a speech on the occasion.
With this Leaders’ Summit, which is taking place in the Belém Cultural Centre, Portugal takes up, during the next two years, the rotating presidency of CPLP, which has eight member states: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
