Audience granted by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva were received in audience by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI.
During his Official Visit to the Holy See, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva was also received in audience by the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, whom the President hosted at lunch in the Residence of the Portuguese Embassy to the Holy See.
