Romeu Parochial Social Centre
The President of the Republic travelled to Mirandela County, where he visited the Old Age Home of the Parochial Social Centre of Romeu parish and the Topitéu Garlic Sausage (“Alheira”) Factory, and also presided at the inaugural act of the Nordial Haemodialysis Centre.
Later, in the Municipal Auditorium, he took part in a Welcoming Ceremony, during which a performance was held by the Esproarte Orchestra, after which President Aníbal Cavaco Silva delivered an address.
After the ceremony, and during a visit to the Student Residence, the President of the Republic was invited to “adopt an olive tree” and watched the running of the project “Smile from North to South”, of the Association of the Portuguese Sodality Dental Surgeons.
