President conversant with the consequences of the fires in Sabugal

The President of the Republic visited the county of Sabugal in order to ascertain the consequences of the great fires which occurred in the region in the last days of August and first days of September.

In the village of Sortelha, President Cavaco Silva met with representatives of the people stricken by the fires and heard the views of the local authorities concerning the current situation.
