Military Honours in Ankara
The President of the Republic met with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gül, in the Ankara Presidential Palace, in the first encounter between them in his State Visit to Turkey.
Received with military honours, President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva held a formal meeting with the Turkish Head of State and Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül, which was followed by a meeting between the two Presidents and, later, a meeting comprising the deputations of both countries.
After the meetings, the two Presidents made statements to the media.
