President of the Republic at the Ruy Barbosa Secondary School

Beginning the second day of the State Visit to Poland, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva paid a visit to the Ruy Barbosa Secondary School, in the Polish capital, where Portuguese Language is taught.

Upon arrival, the President unveiled a plaque alluding to his visit, following which he had the opportunity to enjoy na Exhibition dedicated to Father António Vieira.

This was followed by a ceremony presided by Aníbal Cavaco Silva, during which some of the students of the Ruy Barbosa Secondary School made a brief presentation on the reasons which had led them to learn Portuguese and made a reading of two poems by poet Fernando Pessoa and by the Polish poet Czeslaw Milosz, both of which were entitled “This”.
