Conference and exhibition allusive to Day of Handicapped People

Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the Commemorative Ceremony of the International/European Day of Handicapped People, promoted by the Jacques Delors Centre for European Information, which was held in the Cascais Citadel Palace, where she delivered an address at the opening of the conference.

Before this Mrs. Cavaco Silva had opened the plastic arts exhibition named ”United in Diversity by Each ONE’S Rights”, of which she is the High Sponsor and was organized by a partnership between the Jacques Delors Centre, the LIGA Foundation, the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, the Art and Creativity Association of and for Handicapped Persons (ANACED), the Cooperative for the Education and Rehabilitation of Cascais Handicapped Citizens (CERCICA) and the Observatory of Deficiency and Human Rights/ICSP-UL.
