Lecture to students of Graduate Degrees on Portuguese Studies in Beijing University

Included in the programme of State Visit that the President of the Republic is carrying out in China, Mrs. Cavaco Silva gave a lecture on Portuguese Literature, based on the work of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, to the 2nd and 4th year students attending the Course of Portuguese Studies in the Beijing University of Foreign Studies (Belwai).

On the occasion Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the exhibition “The meeting of Languages – Translators and translations of Portuguese authors into Chinese and of Chinese authors into Portuguese”, on show in the University Library, where she attended the launching of the work “Living in the Intensity of the Wind”, a bilingual collection of poems by Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen.
