Mrs. Cavaco Silva received, in audience, in the Palace of Belém, the Officers of the New Special Olympics Association – Special Olympics Portugal, who informed the First Lady of their decision to award her the title of “Special Olympics Personality 2007”.

Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited “Mother’s Help” a Lisbon based association for aiding pregnant women.
Head Office of Montepio Savings Bank
Mrs. Cavaco Silva took part, in the head office of Montepio, in the “Kings for a day” event, during which donations were awarded to eight institutions of Social Solidarity providing child care.
Visit to ELO SOCIAL
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Association for the Integration and Aid to the Young and Adult Handicapped Persons – ELO SOCIAL, where approximately 74 people with mental, motor and sensorial deficiencies reside, attend and work.
Mrs. Cavaco Silva received, in audience, a deputation of the Association for the Aid of Retarded Youth - AAJUDE, and was presented with a crib made by the beneficiaries of that institution.
Christmas in Hospitals
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the 63rd Edition of Christmas in Hospitals, which was held in the Alcoitão Centre for Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Temporary Welcome Centre for Children at Risk
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in Quinta do Pombeiro, Parque da Belavista, in Lisboa, the deposit of the foundation stone of the Temporary Welcome Centre for Children at Risk, an initiative of the “Movement in the Service of Life”. The event was promoted by “Swatch Perfect World”, inserted in the “Open Sky” Project.
Commemorative Ceremony of Voluntary Day
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided, in Porto, at the Commemorative Ceremony of the International Voluntary Day, organized by the Anti-Cancer Portuguese League, during which the First Lady addressed a speech.
