Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva visited, in the National Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition of the Rau Collection - “The Great Masters of European Painting: from Fra Angelico to Bonnard”; the “Orpheus and Eurydice” show, of acrylics and sepia on music paper by Graça Morais, “illustrated” with the poetry of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, in the National Culture Centre; and the exhibition “Dialogues with the Earth”, of recent drawings and paintings by Graça Morais, in the Ratton Gallery.
Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva was present at the ceremony covering the donation of the estate of authoress Natércia Freire to the National Library. The First Lady also attended the public launching of Natércia Freire’s book “The Infancy in Which I Was Raised”.
The "Art of the Country – Popular Saints" (some more "popular" than others) exhibition, which took place in the "Art of the Country" space, in Almada, was visited by Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva.
The exhibition evoking the 500th anniversary of the death of the Portuguese missionary St. Francis Xavier was visited by the First Lady, Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva.
