Exhibition of Portuguese Sculpture
Mrs. Cavaco Silva officially opened, in the S. Francisco Convent in Coimbra, the Exhibition of Portuguese Sculpture “The Children’s Child”. Comprising the age between the 14th and the 18th centuries, it is allusive to the birth and infancy of the Child Jesus.
Opening of Home
Mrs. Cavaco Silva officially opened the new facilities of the Santo António Home, of the Children’s and Aged Friendship Association, of Aldeia da Mata, Crato, where she unveiled a commemorative plaque and delivered a speech.
House Museum
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Father Belo House Museum and the Museum Centre of the Vila do Crato Almshouse.
Launching of a book
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided at the Launching of the book “Thereza Mimoso 50 Anos de Moda” (Thereza Mimoso – 50 Years of Fashion), by Maria Thereza Mimoso, which took place in the Cordoaria Nacional Building, in Lisbon
ABRIGO Forum
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided at the Opening Ceremony of the 1st Forum of ABRIGO – Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Criança (“SHELTER – Portuguese Association for Child Support), which was held in the Joaquim de Almeida Theatre, in Montijo
Visit to the D. Ruy Salema Home
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the D. Ruy Salema Home, which houses the Temporary Shelter Centre for Young People, of the Alcácer do Sal Almshouse.
Visit to exhibition
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Exhibition “On the Route Under the Stars – Santiago and the Pilgrimage to Compostela”, promoted by the Santiago County Council, and assisted to several activities presented by a group of approximately 70 children from the Lisbon Helen Keller Centre.
Visit to La Moneda
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the La Moneda Cultural Centre, in Santiago do Chile, as part of the programme for the spouses of the Heads of State and of Government participating in the XVII Iberian American Summit which is being held in the Chilean capital.
Presentation of Portuguese poetry dedicated to the sea
On the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Republic to Chile, Mrs. Cavaco Silva took part in a cultural event held in the Pablo Neruda House Museum, where the First Lady made a presentation of Portuguese poetry dedicated to the sea.
Permanent Exhibition in the Museum
As part of the official visit of the President of the Republic to Chile, Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Colonial Museum in Santiago.
