Visit to the Coach Museum
Included in the Official Visit to Portugal of the President of the Republic of Malta and his First Lady, Mrs. Cavaco Silva invited Mrs. Mary Fenech-Adami to view the National Coach Museum.
Ceremony of award of Medals of Honour
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the ceremony of the award of L’Oréal Portugal Medals of Honour for Women in Science. Researchers Susana Solá, Paula Moreira and Marina Kirillova were distinguished.
Photography Exhibition
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended in the Water Museum, in Lisbon, to the launching of the book and, at the same time, to the opening of the photography exhibition “Silences”, by photographer Eduardo Gageiro.
Conference Opening Session
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided at the Opening Session of the International Social Service Conference, held in the Institute of Social Services, in Lisbon, where the First Lady delivered a speech.
Opening of the “From the Palace of Belém” exhibition
Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited Portalegre accompanying Infanta D. Pilar de Borbón, on the occasion of the ceremony allusive to the Europa Nostra Prize, awarded to the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic.
Visit of the King of Spain’s sister
Mrs. Cavaco Silva received Infanta D. Pilar de Borbón, and accompanied her on a tour of the Palace of Belém, during which the President of the Republic had the occasion to greet this member of the Spanish Royal Family.

One of the art works exhibited
Portalegre will welcome, starting on 4 November in the Church of the Convent of S. Bernardo, the “From the Palace of Belém” Exhibition, organized by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic, in association with the local County Council.
Launching of Book
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the launching of the book “Portugal so Distant”, by Rui Ochôa.
Anniversary Dinner of “A Casa do Caminho”
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the Commemorative Dinner of the 20th Anniversary of the “A Casa do Caminho” Association, the first Child Emergency Care Unit of the North, which was held in the Espinho Casino, and during which the First Lady addressed a speech.
