Celebrating the 50th Anniversary
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided at the Commemorative Ceremonies of the 5oth Anniversary of the Parish of Santo Condestável, inaugurating a ceramic tile panel evocative of the History of the Parish and Commemorating the Canonization of its Patron, the Santo Condestável (Holy Constable).
Launching the 2009 Magic Glow Worm Campaign
Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided, in the Dom Luiz Filipe Theatre, in Lisbon, at the opening ceremony of the 2009 Magic Glow Worm Campaign, organized by the National Federation of Social Solidarity Cooperative Societies – FENACERCI.

Opening of exhibition
Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in the Torreão Nascente Gallery, in Lisbon, the opening of the anthology exhibition of Gracinda Candeias, which celebrates 40 years of her work as an artist.
Visit to the Palace of Belém
Mrs. Cavaco Silva received a group of 14 students with reduced mobility, from School EB1 No. 204, from the Prof. Lindley Cintra Schools Group, inserted in the Calouste Gulbenkian Centre of Cerebral Paralysis, in Lumiar, Lisbon, who visited the Palace of Belém.
Donations received by institutions aiding victims of domestic violence
Mrs. Cavaco Silva received, in the Palace of Belém, the organizing committee of the 2008 Diplomatic Bazaar and the representatives of the institutions that provide aid to the victims of domestic violence, who were presented with the donations attributed on the basis of the receipts from the Bazaar.
Visit to the Museum
On the occasion of the State Visit to Portugal of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Mrs. Cavaco Silva escorted his wife, Sheikh Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned, on a visit to the Gulbenkian Museum.
Antiques exhibited in Cordoaria Nacional
Mrs. Maria Cavaco Silva attended, in Cordoaria Nacional, in Lisbon, the opening of the VII Antiques Biennial, promoted by the Portuguese Antique Dealers Association.
