CDs from the 2011 World Poetry Day provided donation for Saint Peter Claver Missionary Sisters

The Saint Peter Claver Missionary Sisters and their work of solidarity received from Mrs. Cavaco Silva a donation resulting from the distribution of the CD recorded on the occasion of the 2011 World Poetry Day celebration, held in the Palace of Belém.

“From the sea and other waterways” was the celebratory theme of the event, which gathered together poets, actors, musicians and other guests, whose performances were recorded on CD.

The missionary work of the Sisters of Saint Peter Claver is mainly developed in solidarity support for needy people in the neighbourhoods of the largest Portuguese cities.
