Nativity Crib Exhibition

“Bethlehem – The Maria Cavaco Silva Collection” – an exhibition in Cáceres

Mrs. Cavaco Silva presided at the inaugural act, in Cáceres, Spain, of the exhibition “Bethlehem – The Maria Cavaco Silva Collection”, showing some 200 Nativity Cribs from her personal collection.

This exhibition, held at the invitation of the Mercedes Calles y Carlos Ballestero Foundation, is being shown in the Foundation’s headquarters, the Los Becerros Palace, in Cáceres.

The opening of the exhibition was honoured with the presence of the Speaker of the Extremadura Parliament, Fernando Manzano, of the Mayor of Cáceres, Elena Nevado, and of the Vicar General of the Coria-Cáceres Diocese, Don José António Fuentes Caballero.

Prior to this, in the Santa Maria Concathedral, Mrs. Cavaco Silva delivered an address allusive to the Nativity Crib exhibition.

Later, Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the charity dinner held on behalf of the Caritas Christmas Campaign backed by the Coria-Cáceres Diocese.
