Mass held in the Estrela Basilica

Transfer of the remains of Author Jorge de Sena

Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in the Estrela Basilica, the religious service celebrating the transfer of the remains of Author Jorge de Sena, which was conducted by Canon Miguel de Carvalho.

During the ceremony, Actress Eunice Muñoz recited a poem by Jorge de Sena, called “Letter to My Children on the Goya Executions”, and Soprano Raquel Alão, accompanied by Pianist Nuno Lopes, from the São Carlos National Theatre Company, sang the St. Matthew Passion, BWV 244 by J. S. Bach
