Presentation of Portuguese poetry dedicated to the sea
On the occasion of the official visit of the President of the Republic to Chile, Mrs. Cavaco Silva took part in a cultural event held in the Pablo Neruda House Museum, where the First Lady made a presentation of Portuguese poetry dedicated to the sea.
After the official opening of the “An Ocean of Cultures” exhibition and before an audience of Chilean students who are learning Portuguese in the University of Santiago and of Portuguese students who are in Chile within the Erasmus Programme, Mrs. Cavaco Silva delivered an allocution on Portuguese poets and poetry related to the sea.
Later, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the House Museum and its gardens, where the Chilean poet and his wife Matilde are buried .
