The President of the Republic received today, in audience, the Representative of the Republic for the Madeira Autonomous Region, Judge Councillor Ireneu Cabral Barreto, who briefed on the results of the contacts kept with the Region’s political factions, following the resignation of the Regional Government.
Portuguese in Mozambique
Before the end of his visit to Mozambique, to attend the investiture of Mozambican President Filipe Nyuri, the President of the Republic held an encounter with the Portuguese Community resident in Mozambique.
Encounter in the Embassy Residency
The President of the Republic held an encounter, in the Residency of the Portuguese Embassy in Maputo, with a number of Mozambique politicians, on the occasion of his presence in the Country’s capital to attend the investiture of President Filipe Nyusi.
With the Mozambican Head of State
The President of the Republic met with his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi, being the first foreign Head of State received by the President of Mozambique after his investiture.
Visit in Maputo
On the occasion of his presence in Mozambique to attend the investiture of President Filipe Nyusi, the President of the Republic visited the Maputo Heart Institute, a health unit that cares mainly for needy Mozambican children and which resulted from a partnership between non-governmental organizations from Mozambique, Portugal, France, United Kingdom and Switzerland.

The President of the Republic took part, as a guest, in Maputo, the investiture ceremonies of the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, held in Independence Square.
Meeting in Maputo
On the occasion of his visit to Mozambique to attend the investiture of Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi, the President of the Republic held a meeting with Portuguese entrepreneurs established in Mozambique, whom he sounded as to their investments and projects, encouraging them to continue expanding their affairs in that country.
Manufacturing facilities
The President of the Republic visited, in Marracuene, a suburb of Maputo, the Luso-Mozambican Company MCM – Mozambique Cotton Manufacturers, where he viewed the several weaving and cotton preparation facilities for the textile industry.
Meeting in Maputo
Invited to attend the investiture of the new Mozambican Head of State, Filipe Nyusi, the President of the Republic had a meeting, in Maputo, with the outgoing President of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza.
