Military Ceremony
The President of the Republic took part, in Setúbal, in the military ceremony commemorating the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, where he addressed a speech to the Portuguese military community.
Dinner on the shores of the River Sado
The President of the Republic attended, in the Setúbal Harbour Building, to a concert of Portuguese music, which was followed by compliments paid by the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Portugal, and then by a dinner held on the occasion of the National Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities.
Following the programme of the commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic honoured Bocage, depositing a wreath of flowers on the monument to the poet, received military honours and took part in a ceremony in the Setúbal City Hall during which he was awarded the city’s gold medal.
