Exhibition in Ajuda National Palace
Presidents Cavaco Silva and Vladimir Putin officially opened, in the Palace of Ajuda, the Exhibition “From Peter the Great to Nicholas II – Art and Culture of the Russian Empire in the Hermitage Collections”.
Palace of Belém
President Cavaco Silva received the President of the Russian Federation in the Palace of Belém, arriving there in a motorcade with a cavalry escort.
Praça do Império
At the start of his Official Visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic welcomed the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in Praça do Império – Jerónimos Monastery, where a Military Ceremony was held which included the playing of the Russian and Portuguese National Anthems, a 21 gun salute, and the review and march past of the Guard of Honour.
Inaugural ceremony of anthological exhibition
The President of the Republic presided at the opening ceremony of the Anthology Exhibition celebrating the 90th anniversary of Artist Júlio Resende, which was held in the Porto Customs Building. The ceremony also included the launching of the Raisonné Catalogue.
