Presentation of Book “The Time of Life”
The President of the Republic received, in audience, Dr. Emílio Rui Vilar, Prof. João Lobo Antunes and Dr. Isabel Mota, who presented him with the book “The Time of Life”, which contains the conclusions of the Gulbenkian Health Forum on Ageing 2008-2009.
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will hold a visit to Portugal next year, in response to the invitation addressed by the President of the Republic.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of the Solvay Group, Christian Jourquin.
Inaugural ceremony
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act, in Cascais, of the “Paula Rego Home of Tales”, and unveiled a plaque allusive to the ceremony.
Meeting in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic met with the Armed Forces Chiefs of General Staff, at a luncheon which he hosted in the Palace of Belém.
