The President of the Republic hosted, in Ajuda National Palace, a banquet in honour of the Mozambican Head of State, Armando Emílio Guebuza, an event included in the programme of his State Visit to Portugal.

At the beginning of the State Visit to Portugal, the President of the Republic welcomed the President of Mozambique, Armando Emílio Guebuza, near the Jerónimos Monastery, where the ceremonial military honours were held.

The President of the Republic attended the award ceremony of the 2009 Pessoa Prize, which was held in the Head Offices of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Bank, in Lisbon, and handed the laurel to Dom Manuel Clemente, Bishop of Porto.

President attended the final performance
With the concert "April", dedicated to José Afonso, Cristina Branco closed, in the Palace of Belém, the programme “April 25 – Commemoration of Democracy on the I Centenary of the Republic”, organized by the Museum of the Presidency.
Speech delivered in Parliament House
The President of the Republic attended the Commemoration Ceremony of the 36th Anniversary of April 25, which was held in Parliament House, where he delivered a speech allusive to the occasion.

“Terra de Abrigo”, a musical show by Ronda dos Quatro Caminhos, completed the third evening of concerts in the Palace of Belém, included in the Programme “April 25 – Commemoration of Democracy on the I Centenary of the Republic”, organized by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic.
