The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart, Pratibha Patil, over the victims of the aircraft accident in Mangalore.
Meeting in Exponor
The President of the Republic held, in Exponor, a meeting with entrepreneurs, organized and carried out by the Portuguese Entrepreneurial Association.
Arrival in Vila do Conde
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Holy Almshouse of Vila do Conde, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the institution, and observed its facilities.
President in Felgueiras County Council
On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Felgueiras Holy Almshouse, the President of the Republic visited the County Council and was received in a ceremony held in the County Hall.
Arrival in Baião
The President of the Republic visited the county of Baião, and was solemnly received in the ceremonial rooms of the County Hall, after which he left for Ancede to preside at the inaugural act of the recently built Civic Centre.
Carvalhosa Educational Centre
The President of the Republic visited the county of Paços de Ferreira, and was solemnly received at a ceremony held in the County Hall where he witnessed the signature of seven development contracts between the Municipality and companies investing in local development.
Decoration ceremony
Celebrating the Day of the Local Authority, the President of the Republic decorated the Association of Portuguese Municipalities with the degree of Honorary Member of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém.
Meeting in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in the Palace of Belém, the Presidents of the Constitutional Courts of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), whom he later hosted for lunch.
Leonor Beleza received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Champalimaud Foundation, Dr. Leonor Beleza.
