Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the officers of the Confederation of Portuguese Tourism.
The President of the Republic will visit next Friday, 28 May, three transplant centres – two in Lisbon and one in Coimbra – as a gesture of public recognition for the importance of these centres towards the success that Portugal has achieved in this area.

The President of the Republic attended, in the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP), in Lisbon, the award ceremony of the Honoris Causa Doctorate, by Lisbon Technical University, to the President of the Republic of Cape Verde, Commander Pedro Pires.

The President of the Republic attended the ceremony, held in Lisbon, of the award of the 2009 Secil Civil Engineering Prize and of the Secil Universities Architecture and Civil Engineering Prizes.

Launching of work developed by José Mattoso
The President of the Republic presided in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, to the launching session of the first volume of the Project Systemization of the Historical Heritage with Portuguese Origins in the World – Architecture and Urbanism, developed under the aegis of Professor José Mattoso, with the title “Southern America – Heritage with Portuguese Origins in the World” .
