The President of the Republic awarded several individualities from the Portuguese Diaspora Communities, as well as foreign citizens, on the occasion of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities with decorations which will be handed opportunely.

The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the Albufeira Sports Pavilion, and attended the march past of the Albufeira county club members, and the performances of the “Imortal” Dance Academy and of the acrobatic gymnastic group of the LUEL – Art in Movement Association.

World Children’s Day concert
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in the Palace of Belém, the commemorative concert of the World Children’s Day, with the participation of the Zethoven Project and of the juvenile Classic Orchestra and Mixed Choir of the Cultural Association of the Inland Beira region.
Meeting in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Canary Islands Autonomous Community, Paulino Rivero.
