Dinner in Oeiras
Included in the programme of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic met with young entrepreneurs from the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, at a dinner promoted by the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) held in the Lagoas Park Conference Centre, Oeiras, during which he delivered an address.
Carnaxide Civic Centre
Continuing the 5th Campaign of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited the promotional materials company "Formula P" and met with representatives of the youth associations of the parish of Carnaxide, Oeiras.
The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to King Juan Carlos I of Spain, regarding the railway accident occurred in Castelldefels.

At the start of the 5th Campaign of the Route to Youth, the President of the Republic visited, in Lisbon, the “Trem Azul” (“Blue Train”) company, an editor and promoter of jazz music, and attended a musical interval with the double bass player Carlos Barreto, one of the several artists present who edit with this label.
The President of the Republic will visit Cape Verde, from 4 to 7 July next, accompanied by Mrs. Cavaco Silva, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Cape Verde, Commander Pedro Pires.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, a deputation from the Biblical Society.
Meeting in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, a deputation of Entrepreneurs for the Economic and Trading Cooperation between China and Portuguese Speaking Countries, who are holding a meeting in Lisbon.
The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the President of the federal Republic of Brazil, regarding the floods occurred in the country’s Northeast States.

Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Executive Head of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Dr. Fernando Chui Sai On.
Heriot-Watt University, of Edinburgh, Scotland, decided to institute an annual prize after the name of Prof. Doctor Aníbal Cavaco Silva to distinguish the best student in the subject of Economic Policy, in the last year of graduation in the Economics course of that University.
