Silva Peneda received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Chairman of the Economic and Social Committee, Dr. José Silva Peneda.
Presentation of credentials
The President of the Republic received letters credential from the new Ambassadors to Portugal.
Concert in the Jerónimos Monastery
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended, in Jerónimos Monastery, a Jazz Concert performed by the Demuth Quartet, hosted by the Grand Dukes of Luxembourg, included in the programme of Their Highnesses State Visit to Portugal.
Audience granted to new Ambassador
The President of the Republic received, in audience, Ambassador Francisco Pimentel de Mello Ribeiro de Menezes, to hand him the letters credential as diplomatic representative of Portugal in Sweden.
Arrival in Belém
At the beginning of the State Visit they are holding to Portugal, the Grand Dukes of Luxembourg, Henri and Maria Teresa, were welcomed, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic and by Mrs. Cavaco Silva.

Decoration of the Special Operations Troop Centre
The President of the Republic presided, in Lamego, at the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Special Operations Unit, which he decorated with the degree of Honorary Member of the Military Order of Avis.
President in the new Lamego Educational Centres
Continuing his visit to counties in the southern shores of the Douro River, the President of the Republic officially opened the new Educational Centres in Ferreirim and Penude, respectively Lamego-Southeast and Lamego–South.
Opening of the "Douro Film Harvest"
The President of the Republic attended, in Lamego, the official opening of the film festival "Douro Film Harvest", which is held in the region, and watched the première of the film “The last flight of the flamingo", adapted from a book with the same name written by Mozambican author Mia Couto.
