Award of the BES Innovation Prizes
The President of the Republic presided, in the “BES Art & Finance” Site, at the prize award ceremony to the winners of the 6th edition of the Espírito Santo Bank National Innovation Competition, where he delivered an address.

The President of the Republic presided, in Oitavos, Cascais, at the opening of the conference “Portugal and the Sea, our wager for the XXI Century”, where he addressed a speech.

Academic Cortège in Covilhã
The President of the Republic attended, in Covilhã, at the invitation of the Academic Association of the Beira Interior University, to the march past of the “Latada” academic cortège, included in the undergraduate reception programme.
Statue of Dom Luis I
The President of the Republic visited Covilhã, at the invitation of the local County Council, on the occasion of the celebrations of the 140th anniversary of its being granted a City Charter.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the officers of the Association of Friends of the Gama Pinto Institute.
The President of the Republic paid tribute, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém, to physicians specialists in transplant operations who have achieved distinction in research and in their activity, some of whom he decorated.
North Educational Centre
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the North Educational Centre, in Treixedo, Santa Comba Dão, after having been received in a welcoming ceremony in the County Hall, where he was presented with the Key to the City.
Ceremony in ISVOUGA
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of the new facilities of the Entre Douro e Vouga Higher Institute, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of this educational establishment.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, the former President of S. Tomé e Príncipe, Dr. Miguel Trovoada.
