The President of the Republic opened, in Jakarta National Museum, an exhibition allusive to “Five Centuries of Political and Diplomatic Relations between Portugal and Indonesia”.

The President of the Republic and his Timorese counterpart, Taur Matan Ruak, presided jointly at the inaugural act of the Dili Book Fair, and presented to the Government of East Timor two itinerant libraries.
Event in the Dili Portuguese School
The President of the Republic hosted, in the Ruy Cinatti Portuguese School, in Dili, a retribution reception in honour of Timorese President Taur Matan Ruak, at which the resident Portuguese Community was also invited.

Included in the programme of his State Visit to East Timor, the President of the Republic received, in audience, the leader of the largest Timorese opposition party (FRETILIN), Mari Alkatiri.

Included in the programme of his State Visit to East Timor, the President of the Republic received, in audience, the Timorese Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão.
