Ceremony in the Jerónimos Monastery
The President of the Republic presided, in the Jerónimos Monastery, at the Award Ceremony of the 2012 Europa Nostra Prizes, an event where the Princes of Asturias were equally present, the last official act of their visit to Portugal.
Banquet in Queluz Palace
On the occasion of the Official Visit to Portugal of the Princes of Asturias, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva hosted dinner in their honour in the National Palace of Queluz, at the beginning of which speeches were addressed by both President Cavaco Silva and the Prince of Asturias.
Encounter in the Palace of Belém
President Aníbal Cavaco Silva met the participants in the award ceremony of the Europa Nostra Prize, who visited the Museum of the Presidency and the Palace of Belém, on the occasion of the event that will take place on 1 June, in the Jerónimos Monastery.

The President of the Republic was honoured with a banquet hosted by the President of the Republic of Singapore, Tony Tan Keng Yam, in the last stage of his Official Visit to the City-State.
Visit to the Port of Singapore
Included in the programme of his Official Visit, the President of the Republic visited the Port of Singapore, where he held a meeting with the Officers of the Port Authority (PSA), took a general view of the Port and observed some of the docks where the container terminals are installed.

The President of the Republic attended the closure of the Portugal-Singapore Economic Forum, which was held in the City-State during his Official Visit.

The President of the Republic held a meeting, in Singapore’s Presidential Palace, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Meeting with Tony Tan Keng Yam
The President of the Republic received military honours in Singapore’s Presidential Palace, after which he held a meeting with his counterpart, Tony Tan Keng Yam.
Flower baptized in Singapore
On the second day of his Official Visit, the President of the Republic visited Singapore’s Botanical Garden where, following local tradition, he baptized an orchid – the national flower – with his wife’s name, Maria Cavaco Silva.
