Meeting with former President
The President of the Republic held a meeting, in Maputo, with the former Mozambican President, Joaquim Chissano.

On the occasion of the Summit of Heads of State and of Government of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), which is taking place in Maputo, the President of the Republic held a meeting with his Mozambican counterpart, Armando Guebuza.

Audiences in Belém
In order to set the date for holding the parliamentary elections for the Azores Autonomous Region, the President of the Republic received, in audience, the officers of the political parties represented in the regional Parliament: Popular Monarchist Party, Portuguese Communist Party, Left Wig Block, Social Democrat Centre-Popular Party, Social Democrat Party and Socialist Party.
