Audiences in Belém
The President of the Republic commenced a set of audiences with the political parties represented in Parliament.
Ceremony in the Jerónimos Monastery
The President of the Republic attended, in the Church of Santa Maria de Belém, in the Jerónimos Monastery, the Entrance Ceremony in the Diocese of the new Lisbon Patriarch, D. Manuel Clemente.
Encounter in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic held a meting, in the Palace of Belém, with approximately 40 economists, in an Encounter concerning “Portugal in the post-troika period”.
Meeting of the SCND
The Supreme Council for National Defence met, at an extraordinary session, presided by the President of the Republic.

Commemorations in the HIPISS
The President of the Republic presided at the ceremonies commemorating the Day of the Public Security Police, which was held in the Higher Institute of Police and Internal Security Sciences, in Lisbon.
In the terms of item h( of article no. 133 of the Constitution, the President of the Republic accepted the proposal put forward by the Prime Minister to appoint Master Helder Manuel Gomes dos Reis, Dr. Joaquim Pias Jorge, Master Manuel Luis Rodrigues, Dr. Paulo de Faria Lince Nuncio and Dr. Helder Manuel sebastiao Rosalino respectively to the offices of Assistant Secretary of State and for the Budget, and Secretaries of State for the Treasury, Finance, Fiscal Affairs and Public Administration.
