Audiences in Belém
The President of the Republic heard today the opinions of a number of economists regarding the essential guidelines on economic and financial policies that must be followed for Portugal to maintain, in the future, a path for economic growth and job creation, and particularly the relevance that must be attributed to budgetary discipline and to the sustainability of the public debt.
In separate audiences, opinions were heard from economists Dr. Vítor Bento, Prof. Daniel Bessa, Dr. João Salgueiro, Prof. Doctor Luis Campos e Cunha, Prof. Doctor Fernando Teixeira dos Santos, Dr. António Bagão Félix and Prof. Augusto Mateus.
