Meeting with Durão Barroso
The President of the Republic held a meeting with the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Durão Barroso, at the end of his official visit to the European Institutions.
After the meeting, President Cavaco Silva took part in a working lunch with President Durão Barroso and several members of the College of Commissioners of the European Union.
Later, the Portuguese Head of State and the President of the European Commission held a joint press conference at the Commission’s headquarters.
