Decoration ceremony
The President of the Republic decorated with the grade of Commander of the Order of Merit the following group of former Mayors.
Decorations were awarded to the following aldermen: António Aguiar Gouveia, from Vila Nova de Foz Côa, António Lopes Bogalho, from Sobral de Monte Agraço, Fernando Gomes Rodrigues, from Montalegre, Francisco Tavares, from Valpaços, Horácio Antunes, from Lousã, Jorge Magalhães, from Lousada, Daniel Campelo, from Ponte de Lima, José Ernesto Leão d’Oliveira, from Évora, José Macedo Vieira, from Póvoa de Varzim, José Saldanha Rocha, from Mação, José Lopes Silvano, from Mirandela, Maria Isabel Soares, from Silves, Mário Albuquerque, from Ourém and Victor Martelo, from Reguengos de Monsaraz.
