Decoration ceremony
The President of the Republic decorated, in the Palace of Belém, the National Table Tennis Team which won the European Championship in a tournament held in Portugal in the past month of September.
Team members Marcos Freitas, Tiago Apolónia, João Monteiro, João Geraldo and Diogo Chen were awarded the grade of Commander of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator. Diogo Chen was represented by his father, Chen Shi Shao.
The team’s manager, Pedro Rufino, and the President of the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation, Pedro Moura, were awarded the Medal of the Order of Merit.
