The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of Eng. José Sousa Veloso.
Following is the text of the message of condolences:
“It was with regret that I received the news of the passing away of Eng. José Sousa Veloso, a pioneer in the dissemination of good agricultural practices and in the dignifying of agriculture.
Eng. Sousa Veloso practiced what we would today term as continuous training for framers, awakening people to the values of rural life. An action which earned him the recognition and the sympathy of farmers and of the general public.
On behalf of the Portuguese and in my own personal name, I address the bereaved Family my deepest condolences.
