Deeply distressed with the passing away of Eduardo Prado Coelho, I address my deepest condolences to his family and render tribute to the notable work he carried out on behalf of our culture and civic life.
A brilliant intellectual, who greatly contributed with his work and his achievements in public office to the dynamics and international prestige of Portuguese culture, Eduardo Prado Coelho was an outstanding figure who enhanced philosophical debate throughout the last decades. His daily presence in the Media, along with his university and scientific activities were a veritable source of enrichment of our democratic life.
