The President of the Republic requested today from the Constitutional Court an anticipatory examination of the constitutionality of the provisions contained in Nos. 2 and 3 of Parliamentary Decree No. 139/X, which altered the General Taxation Law and the Code of Taxation Procedure and Process.
This request is specifically based on doubts arising from the constitutional conformity of provisions which permit the access to banking information and documentation of citizens who decide to issue claims on, or legally contest, actions of the tax administration.
