Military honours in the People’s Palace
In the most relevant political encounter in his State Visit to China, the President of the Republic met, in China People’s Palace, Beijing, with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.
After the official welcoming ceremony, the two Heads of State held a meeting, together with their respective retinues.
At the end of the meeting, Presidents Cavaco Silva and Xi Jinping witnessed the signature of bilateral agreements between both Governments and of contracts between both countries’ corporations.
After this the two Presidents made declarations to the media.
Later, President Xi Jinping hosted, in China People’s Palace, a banquet in the honour of President Cavaco Silva.
