The President of the Republic will appoint General Artur Neves Pina Monteiro as Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff
In the terms of item p) of article no. 133 of the Constitution of the Republic, the Government proposed the appointment of General Artur Neves Pina Monteiro to the office of Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff, replacing General Luis Evangelista Esteves de Araújo who ceases his duties.
After having received General Artur Neves Pina Monteiro, the President of the Republic accepted his resignation as Chief of the Army General Staff and decided to appoint him as Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff.
