Meeting with the Royal Family
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva arrived in Stockholm, at the beginning of a three day State Visit to Sweden, at the Invitation of King Charles XVI Gustaf.
At the international airport of the Swedish capital, the President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva were greeted by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.
Later, the visitors were taken to the Royal Palace, where King Charles XVI Gustaf and Queen Sylvia received them in the Royal Stables, from where they rode in coaches to the official welcoming ceremonies that included a military guard of honour.
Following these greetings the Swedish Monarchs and the Portuguese presidential couple held a private meeting.
