Gala dinner held in Washington

Gala dinner and “fado” concert in the Freer Gallery of Art / Arthur M. Sackler Gallery

On the occasion of the opening of the Exhibition “Encompassing the Globe: Portugal and the World in the 16th and 17th centuries”, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended a gala dinner in their honour, held in the Freer Gallery of Art / Arthur M. Sackler Gallery. 

After dinner, the guests were entertained in a “fado” concert featuring the Portuguese singer Mariza.
