Abdullah Gül received in Belém
At the beginning of the State Visit he is carrying out to Portugal, the President of the Turkish Republic. Abdullah Gül, was welcomed in the Palace of Belém by the President of the Republic.
After his visit to the Jerónimos Monastery, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Luiz Vaz de Camões, the Turkish President departed for the Palace of Belém, where he was received by a Guard of Honour.
President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva held a meeting with the Turkish President and Mrs. Hayrünnisa Gül, this being followed by a meeting between the two Heads of State, who were later joined by the respective delegations.
At the end of the working meeting, both Presidents held a press conference.
